Lights Out: Everyone loves making city time-lapse videos, especially as documentary filler footage — but NightFall, covering L.A. over a series of days and nights, stands ahead of the pack.
It actually makes the smoggy hellhole look beautiful.
[nerdist]Hey. Smoggy, sure, but hellhole?
Another amazing video from Colin Rich.
Fancy macaroons. Absolutely loved this place. (Taken with Instagram)

Pals. We need your help.
Our darling Khaleesi is sick. She’s a tough little girl and is already proving true to her namesake; but she has Kitty Anemia and needs a blood transfusion, like now. Yikes!
The vet doesn’t keep blood in stock (this confounds me), so we’re looking for Los Angeles owners who are willing to donate 3-4 ccs of blood (that’s one test tube).
Your cat should be(a) in good health, (b) have been indoor cats for several years, and (c) have had their FeLV (Feline Leukemia) shot.
Larger cats are preferred but any would be absolutely fine with the minor procedure.
The cost to you is nothing, except a sleepy cat for a couple of hours. In fact, Andrew and I will show our gratitude in the form of beverages of your choosing (and some cat nip for the donor, obviously).
L.A. folks, please help if you can!
LA cat owners: they need a blood transfusion for their cat. They cover the costs. They just need a vial of blood from your healthy indoor FIV-vaccinated cat.
Signal boost!
Los Angeles cat owners! Please help. I’d offer my own but both are from the shelter and they haven’t stayed indoors for a year yet.
